I’m an author, visual artist, brand builder, and long-time strategic small business guide. As the founder of BrandEquityPlaybook.com, I empower conscious solopreneurs, professionals, and small business owners to S.H.I.F.T. their brands and stories into higher gear.

Over the last forty years, I've worked in corporate America, built and sold two small businesses, written or co-written six books, and helped hundreds of entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders "discover the Art of Business Development.”

More important than all of that is my faith and family. I've been married for 39 years and raised two healthy sons, and by far, my family is my greatest accomplishment.

My entrepreneurial journey began at a young age, inspired by my parents. Their early entrepreneurial courage and success in 1973 taught me the importance of vision, courage, freedom, resilience, and creative ways to keep cash flowing and stay out of the rat race.

As Ben Carson has said many times, "Poverty is a state of mind," more than anything else.
