As married man for 40 years, a father for 36+, and now a grandfather, the most important relationship I have is with the Lord, Christ. Talking and listening work hand in hand in my experience. But it is stillness that has the most power between the two.

For example, when observing my children learn to parent, I pray for them to know the Lord. But when I speak, I do so with great reserve because I know that the Lord will show them the way more than my words.
