Can't draw or have no artistic talent?
I used to think the same thing because of my fear of not being good enough and other head trash.
But then the pandemic hit, and we got locked down.
For some reason, I started to sketch and draw.
I started showing my art to friends and family.
They liked my work. That motivated me.
So, I kept learning, practicing daily, and finding joy in being present for any artistic endeavor.
And I was almost 60!
If I can learn to play with drawing, sketching, painting, photography, and writing, anyone can!
The mental health benefits of practicing art are extraordinary. It is impossible to feel depressed or anxious while in any artistic flow state, including hiking in nature. (We're practicing presence when practicing art.)
