I learned something over the last few years; if you lock me down, I'm going within, not nuts.

If we agree that solitary confinement is among the cruelest forms of human punishment, the next worst could be feeling locked down due to a global pandemic.

Over the last few years, beginning with the pandemic, I did what I always do; make the best of it. I learned that a big part of me isn't just a writer, small business guy, real estate investor, son, brother, husband, father, or friend.

I learned how much I love being an artist. My art as a kid and young adult was athletics. I also learned that with a lot of learning and practicing, I could make money selling my art, and doing what I love, just like when I write much of the time.

It's okay not to make money because we learn to accept that most articles, paintings, etc., don't pay off that well. But when we love our art and keep practicing. Hopefully, we'll catch a tailwind before we croak because how much does it suck for artists that their best positioning and pricing as when they've passed onto the other side.
