How to Avoid the High Cost of Failing In a Small Business Partnership
Expect the partnership to go wrong.
Have you ever met two business partners who fell in love, decided to go into business with each other, and it ended up worse than the War of the Roses, two jilted lovers in a dual to their death?
I experienced a short war of roses in one of my first partnerships, which was painful. Looking back, that experience compelled me to learn more about being a better business partner, and I've kept learning and helping others ever since. The pain of my failure to be a great partner back then taught me how to be a better human being.
The only way to get what we want is to be grateful for all we’ve obtained, including the painful lessons we attract for a good reason, to improve ourselves by living more virtuous lives. We are here to find love, be loved, accept all that is and learn. At the same time, we’re to receive our God-given gifts and share them in a way that gives us joy and makes a difference in the world around us.
