The older I get, the simpler my life becomes. It’s early to bed and early to rise. For example, yesterday, after Pickleball, we went home, fed Under Dog, prepared and ate a nice dinner, and not long after, curled up in my bed reading Answer to Job, one of Carl Jung’s most controversial works, surely never to go big in Bible study groups.
I woke up, brewed coffee, felt an unusual dance with anxiety, and as always, I shifted gears into creative and shadow mode. What this means for me is creating art and writing. I find an inner peace that feels timeless when I write, practice art, and go within.
Please don’t view my words as being boastful. I share my habits because I love helping others by sharing anything that works for me. Jung’s shadow work is too substantial not to share.
If you take one idea from this article it’s that we have to choose our programming wisely.
When you choose to program yourself to practice creative things you love, you’ll feel the difference. You have to program yourself by diving into the creative aspects of your shadow. If not, it’s easy to let the buried stuff remain stuck. It’s easier to get programmed by mainstream media and mass…
