J.P. Dahdah is one of the most caring, successful CEO’s I’ve ever met. I had a chance to catch up with him late in 2019. He’s a tough guy to get on the calendar, and his executive assistant, Carmen, guards the gate unlike any other. Recently we got to hang out for almost two hours at a local coffee shop.

Clearly, every great leader needs someone to manage the business of life. Just ask J.P. or anyone who’s built a company or raised a family. While Carmen watches J.P.’s back at work, he’s got an amazing wife as his copilot to help him raise this family.

This is a short story about one of the happiest, most-successful family men I know who’s also built a company out of a startup business. Achieving either one of these feats is remarkable. He’s done both with a smile.

J.P. is a “family first” and highly-conscious business leader who has grown near and dear to my heart. Being as successful as J.P. is a miracle to me because so few of us succeed in raising a great family let alone a company. And unlike me, J.P. has been able to transform his startup into a self-sufficient, sustainable and profitable company. The primary difference between a small business and the company is the latter…
