How to Feel Wealthy Even If You Are Broke
Do you believe God wants you to be rich? This is a story about the most important lesson I’ve learned about money, happiness, and wealth; feeling wealthy is far bigger than money. Being rich is feeling wealthy inside.
Okay, even if you think I’ve lost my mind, read on. The point I hope to make is being wealthy is ultimately about being comfortable with who we are more than based on what we have.
If being and feeling wealthy or rich is only about money, how much money did Mother Teresa, Gandhi, or Nelson Mandella need to feel wealthy? Not much. They felt rich doing their jobs.
Conversely, have you ever known a super-rich and wealthy person who was miserable and broken inside, lonely, and wondering how to find joy in buying the fifth house or ninth car? Talk about emptiness.
Could it be possible that the people living in America have our priorities wrong in terms of what we measure for success, which is primarily wealth defined as assets that make our balance sheet look good?
