How I Got to Know the Quietest Man In the Room
Once upon a time, I swam with sharks. Imagine being among an ocean full of men and women who had become world-famous. How did a numb nut from New Hampshire fit into a shark tank?
My role at the time was to be the co-host. I had co-created two live events showcasing world-famous thought leaders. Where I grew up in rural New Hampshire, one of the fastest ways to get beat up was to drop a big name. So, forget that. Suffice it to say the people in the room were mostly household, celebrity business names.
That’s where I met the quietest man in the room. The man’s name is Paul. For now, I must leave it at that because I’m starting a new project with him. In due time I will reveal Paul’s identity because who knows when you might need a fixer?
Paul is a “fixer.” No, he is not famous. You can’t be recognized if you’re the strong, steady, silent type like him. Instead, to be a fixer, you must be stealth. That’s because your job as a fixer is to be the private investigator and protector of super-successful people.
You see, Paul gets paid handsomely to know what his clients don’t know and need to know. He and his stealth team watch the backs and fronts of the clients who were the world-famous people at the front of my event and in attendance for two days…
