I just got off the phone with a man who has become a dear friend, more like a brother from a different mother. I love him.
Meet Mckenzie. He goes by Mack.
Mack and I met when we bounced off our respective rock bottoms many moons ago. I watched him speak from a podium shortly after we were introduced by a dear and mutual friend named Mal.
Mack stands tall at 6 feet and three inches. He’s handsome and radiates supreme confidence. His smile penetrates the willing soul. Mack is younger and a bit behind me on the life expectancy curve. I imagine he will have a long, rich, and rewarding life because of his heart.
When I first observed Mack speak to others, he talked with a hurried, nervous energy. Yet, he always had a positive spin on the business of life, and many people found him inspiring. He always seemed happy despite the fact we had met while working our way through our respective dark nights of the soul.
