Unity is simple but challenging. When we learn to see similarities in others more than differences, our perspective, level of magnification, or view of others, including ourselves, changes for the better.
The way that happens is we train our minds to "rise above" the worldly things that suck the life out of our souls. We can all learn to see, feel, and experience unity, except narcissists and psychopaths. We can not change them, only how we react when dealing with them.
The same is valid for anything else that could bother us. We're here to learn how to live more in peace. The way to do that is by seeing unity.
