Have you caught yourself daydreaming, lost in thoughts about what’s next—maybe a new job, a career pivot, a small business, or retirement?

Are you more irritable or lethargic, battling boredom, maybe anxiety or depression lately?

Is there a burning desire deep within you to be something you’re not now, like maybe the real you, your authentic self who wakes up every day doing work you love, or not?

If so, these are the typical signs that it could be time to reinvent yourself. I remember what I was like when I was selling my soul in bi-weekly paychecks in a corporate marketing and sales job.

“American workers hate their jobs so much that nearly half of them wouldn’t wish it on their worst enemy.” — Unknown

From the outside looking in, you’d have thought I had it made. But deep within, I knew there was more to life, and I searched long and hard for meaning and purpose.

Hating your job is one big reason to reinvent yourself. Reinventing yourself can relate to any realm of your life, such as relationships, geography, vocation, health, etc.
