“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” — Pablo Picasso

Did you know creativity is in fast decline? It’s true.

Curious Facts About Creativity

Here are a few facts about creativity:

  1. Child Creativity Lab reports that creativity is on the decline in the United States. Data indicates that “children have become less creative,” according to a 2010 report and a 2017 follow-up study.
  2. Lack of creativity isn’t a new problem. A 2012 Ad Age report revealed that 75% of people think they are not living up to their creative potential.
  3. More recently, a report by Upland Software states that about 60% of CEOs cited creativity as the most essential leadership quality, surpassing integrity (52%) and global thinking (35%).
